About KD Built

My name's Kyle D. Smith and I'm a third generation private contractor, carpenter, and handy man. Growing up in Hickman, I had many opportunities to polish my skills as I worked finishing concrete, installed pole barns, and finished custom carpentry jobs. Wanting to get official, I then graduated in 2016 with Mechanized System Management Degree from UNL . Since then I have continued my career in the construction industry.    I’ve worked in both commercial and residential construction, and decided to stay small for the personal quality service that it entails. I started KD Built in 2021, and continue as owner/operator today. I love to see projects come together and the satisfied look of a customer for a job well done. I'm dedicated to the success of your home improvement, walking you through every step of the process.
